How does someone registers a new auto at a license facility in order to be on the road?

If you're not switching plates from "old" to "new" car, the dealer should give you a paper temp plate, then send the paperwork to you, if it doesn't give it to you right away. When you get the application for the title, you take it to the DMV, pay the fees, and put on the plate(s). Normally, the dealer won't apply for the plates; that's your job.
If you're switching plates, put the plates on the new car and keep the sale paperwork with you until the title or application arrives. |

When you buy a new car at a dealership, they take care of all that paperwork for you. You will sign all the documents at once. |
