if the car is in your name it is legally yours. You can do what ever you want as long as your name is on the ownership.

The vehicle is titled to BOTH of you. Just because you have the title makes absolutely no difference. See if she'll sign off her part and have the car titled only to you. If she's not willing to do this, and you want the car, then guess what? It's time to go to court, my friend! You can't just go and take it. It's just as much her car as it is your car. Oh and you're gonna need documented proof that you made those payments. Hope you have receipts!!!

This should be a lesson to everybody that you should NEVER jointly title anything with someone you are not MARRIED to!!!

Your gonna have to take it through court. And prove that you made all the payments. And I would think if she has been driving it then it really doesn't matter that she had to pay one.
See the title may say you then her. But the one on the top is responsible for the car. B/c that is how it is on mine and I signed it with my b/f. But I make the payments.

Since your name is on the title you can legally just go pick it up and drive it home. I'm sure that will lead to problems though.
If the title is in both of your names you will have to take her to court. Prove that you made most of the payments and the car is yours (unless she is willing to buy out your share)

It depends. Did you give her the car as a gift? And , how are your names on the title? Just the title now, forget the loan. If it says "John AND Sally Smith" nothing can be done to or with the car without the signatures of both. If on the other hand it says "John OR Sally Smith" then you can go pick up your car and drive it home. Not your friend, you. But I wouldn't suggest it without discussing it with her first.

No, but you can go get it yourself if you have keys. The Police cannot interfere. This sounds pretty rotten, but I would just go get the car when she least expects it, sell it, and call it a day. If you have honestly paid all the payment, except one, you totally deserve your money back. She cannot call the car in stolen if you just take it, just like you can't right now. When you do sell the car, she can get all the legal help she wants, you have proof you paid the payment. She looses! If you do need a key, go to the dealer, he will be glad to give you one!

She has the same legal claim to the car as you. You will have to settle this with her. Either has to buy the other out or take it to small claims court. Don't miss the last payment or you will all lose.
