Reversing park?

When you reverse back into a parking spot, just remember to turn the wheel the direction you want to go. A lot of people get this reversed when they start driving. So if you're backing into a spot on your right, you'll turn the wheel to the right.
Also you want to make sure that your car is pulled up far enough to successfully back into the spot. You want to pull up to the length of the car in front of you, then back in.

turn the wheel in the direction you want the rear of the vehicle to go .. in a parallel parking situation: pull forward to the car in front of the space you want until your car's back end is aligned with the forward cars back end. Now reverse and turn the wheel sharply to the right until your seat is aligned with the rear-end of the car you are parking behind. Now, slowly back up and turn the wheel to the left as you clear the forward car. Dont forget to watch your rear view to make sure that you arent backing up too far :D

Go slow with it...before long, you'll get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect....the more times you practice the better.

think of it this way its the exact opposite of what u would do if u were driving forward so if driving forward u would want to turn to the right a lil bit backwards u would turn to the left a lil bit

I had this problem too. It took a lot of practice for me to get used to it. Just remember it's the opposite of the direction you go when moving forward. Just imagine the directions the wheels turn when you turn the wheel. Imagine the car moving and what direction it would go. You'll get the hang of it, but I do know what you mean!

Get used to driving in reverse. Find a deserted parking lot, throw the car in reverse, and drive at idle speed with your foot lightly on the brake and your face looking out the rear window. You will get the hang of it. Just go veeeery slooooow.

Put your hand on the top of the wheel. Push the top of the wheel in the direction you want the car to go. Push right (clockwise) the back of the car will move to the right. (Toward the curb). Turn the wheel the other way to straighten up.

I know it sounds really obvious... but when you reverse you still turn the steering wheel in the direction you want to travel. ie. if you want the car to go left, then turn the wheel left, and vice versa. Hope it helps and good luck!
