Some of the recent questions on here will show just how expensive insurance is for the younger drivers at the moment. At 17 with no driving history your own personal insurance on either or these cars will be over 2,000. Engine size will affect the costing as well.
To add you as an additional driver on the cars will very much depend on the actual insurance companies and the rates they charge. They are very wise to 'fronting' on a parents insurance and these premiums are also going up rapidly. |

i am a new driver and i am currently looking for insurance for a 1.0 litre small car my insurance quote for that was around 4000 to 8000. the easiest way is to fidn a driver that has good driving experience and hasl atleast 3 no claims bonus. if you are looking to be a second driver it will be roughly around 200 pound a month for a 1.0 corsa the bigger the engine size the more it will be. the best option is to become a socond driver on someone or a family members licence as it will save you more than 3 thousand guarenteed. |
