I was in a car wreck. If my insurance pays a claim and then a lawsuit grants damages, do I have to reimburse the insurance company in Va?.

Yes, if you are awarded damages in a lawsuit after your insurance company paid your claim, you will have to reimburse the insurance company. |

If your insurance has paid a claim against you, and the victim decides to sue for further damages, your insurance will provide you with an attorney to represent your interests in court. If the court orders it, you might have to pay more out of pocket, but you won't have to give anything back to the insurance company. |
