Sad accident tonight, can good come from it?

Sorry to hear about that. I suppose that some good might come out of it in that this lad, when he comes out of hospital, is going to be MUCH more cautious in future, as undoubtedly will his mate after what he witnessed. Hopefully, the word will get around in their circle of friends too.

Good for you for what you did to help, and I hope you get over it soon too. Talking about it always helps . . .

You are obviously a sensitive, caring person. Of course good can come out of it. People remember - unfortunately only for a time and perhaps you will have saved their lives - for the moment. - I hope. But you cannot save people from themselves.

Perhaps you should have gone to the hospital as you are somewhat in a state of shock

what a horrible thing to happen to you, sit down and have a nice cup of tea, or a brandy. similar thing happened to us a couple of weeks ago, we had been shopping in my hubbies car because my battery was flat on mine, parked up when we got home, took the shopping out the boot, i took some in the house when he said, i am going to move the car a couple of feet forward, i think i am too close to the car behind, i unpacked the shopping i had, and then said where the hell is he, went to look for him, he wasnt there over the road where he was, looked up the road, then down the road and there he was .....imbedded into the front of a parked 4x4 pick up, the story goes, he started the engine, put it into drive, didnt put his seatbelt on, because only going to go a couple of feet, saw he left the door open, so leaned over to shut it, got his foot jammed down the side of the accelerator, and whoosh, off like a rocket, ending up in this pick up and pushed that one into the next one behind, luckily his airbags worked, otherwise it could have been alot worse, just a few bruises, but wrote off two cars, BUT ......... on the way to the supermarket, he said, dont like this car can we change it in the spring, either the car was getting its own back or he had it in his head that the spring was too far away. hope this takes your mind off your trouble tonight, god bless xx

you did your best by trying to calm them down, hopefully he will be ok and might now be more careful if he is driving on the road-and hopefully insured.

oh my god that bad... well nothing good can come from this, only that the boys should learn a lesson from this. its up to your partner know if he wasnts to bring the law on the young lad for his stupidity.

How devastating for you all! You did all you could. I hope the boys learn a major life lesson from this experience and grow into better men because of it.

As soon as you can, have a nice, hot bath, and relax as best you can. Have a cup of hot chamomile tea with some honey in it to help calm you down ... or a little brandy, if that is more your speed. Treat yourself extra special for a couple days ... you need it! We'll be thinking of you!

How awful. I suppose the only good thing is that everyone's still alive and kicking and, like you said, they might be more responsible on the road in future. Shame it needs things like this to happen to make people think.
Have a nice cup of tea and an early night. Tomorrow's another day, a fresh start.

I am sorry that you had to go through that. It makes sense you need to talk about it.

It sounds like you are kind person. So, if this accident had to happen, rather that it happen to someone who can show kindness and compassion at the scene rather than carry on about your own damage and not show the kindness that you were able to show the boy and his friend.

Sorry to hear of your very shocking experience.
These are always such a fright as they come out of the blue when you are doing the most normal everyday things.
It's sad to think that there is a young lad that's lying hurt but such is the way of the world.You can only hope that there is a lesson that will be learnt and he will recover to full health.
The person to look after now is yourself.You have had quite a rattle , so I would suggest relaxing and taking life easy for the next day or so.It can be you concentrate on the other people involved at the risk of not looking after yourself.
Take it easy and try not to get het up over anything.

Ah well he's bloomin' lucky he's not dead - and didn't kill others too. Hopefully he'll think twice before behaving like that again!
