Settlement for car accident??????

I just wanted to ask what is the right amount of a settlement for a car accident I was involved in recently. I was hit from the back. My car damages were 9100. I had broken ribs, muscle spasm and I couldnt bend over for a month. I was out of work for a month. Recently I came back to work with restriction not to carry anything over 10pounds. I was also doing therapy for my back muscles. My ribs still hurt and they are not fully recovered. I do have a lawyer and I just wanted to know how much to expect. The lady that hit me was doing 45mph and I was standing still the seatbelts fractured my ribs and I had a whiplash. Any idea what is the right amount to settle for? I feel like im still going to be working with a restriction. any idea?

Well judging by you having more than just soft tissue damage(whiplash,strained or torn ligaments etc), you suffered broken bones and that is serious and may help you with resitution.
Factors to consider:
Is there ongoing treatment for your injuries?
That should be included in your "pain & suffering"
And whatever state you are in depends on alot as well. If you are in a no-fault state it could raise it. But in the state I live in if you are even 1% at fault it lowers settlement considerably.
Different insurance companies pay out better than others as well.
You should ask your lawyer as they are Employed/Hired by you and you have that right to ask and keep up with things.
Usually they get for you 3-4 times your med bills...and some even include wages lost and future "issues" from it. But then again every state is different....but close for the most part from what I have seen.
I am sorry you were hurt that bad and hope you get full recovery and a decent compensation for it!

Well you and a good lawyer and your insurance should sit down and discuss this. The truth is, the temporary or permanent disability can only be determined after a long medical gauntlet that takes a lot of time--so no money will come for quite a while. Any fake injury claim is fraud and all injury cases are investigated by private eyes hired by the insurance company. They will follow you for weeks--the first time you pick up anything over that 10 pound restriction--you have been had.They have video cameras in vehicles that seem to be like the phone company or a regular mom's soccer van outside your house. Don't play football or paint your house or cavort drunk at a bar b que--if they film anything that proves you aren't injured--it is fraud--guess who gives up every cent for injuries already paid out??? You !! You have to pay it back or they go ahead with the fraud charges and that is JAIL TIME. Just get better and forget about it.

I think you my friend need to speak to an attorney, because you oviously cannot find out what her insurance pay out maximum is. oh yea there is limit to how much the insurance company pay out wich is her policy amount, this amount can be any where from $20,000 to $200,000 or more but an attorney can find out information like this, in an event that her policy is a cheap one you may have to go after her for pain and suffuring, the amount that you settle for might cover mostly medical bills. Get an attorney.
