I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey with 78k and just paid off car. I plan to keep the car for as long as it runs. Just not sure if I should save $158 that I pay yearly. I have 250/500 Deductible.

$158 is not a lot of money - and it sure would be cheaper than having to just replace your windshield. Since its so cheap I would keep it. Your front bumper alone is three times that amount if you need to have it replaced. Same goes with the windshield too. |

Since that car is probly still worth some money, I would say keep it. You may raise your deductible to lower the payments. Also, ask about other discounts the company may offer, like multi-car discount, multi-line discount, good driver discount and any others they offer.
Also, ask if the premium is any higher due to your years of driving experience or your zip code or any points on your DMV record.
It doesn't hurt to ask. |

It would be strictly up to you, but this is only 6 years old at this point. By saying NO to comprehensive/collision, you are saying "If I do anything to break it, I'll pay out of pocket and take any loss." In the case of total loss, unless you have enough to pay for another car, I'd keep it in force. |

It is a judgement call, but if you intend to keep the car, I say insure it. If you planned to trade it in soon and considered it disposable, i would say let it go and take a chance. |
