Situation--My friend (whose license was revoked) had gotten into a little fender bender driving my car?

My friend was backing out of a parking spot in my parking garage and the maintainence guys big truck had smacked right into the back of my car--I called the police and the maintainence guy admitted everything was his fault....now my question is will the maintainence guys insurance pay for the damages done to my vehicle or will they argue that my friend had no business driving being that his license was revoked--Please Help, all info is appreciated ;-) THANKS

Yes, if the accident was deemed the other driver's fault than his insurance will pay to have your car repaired.
However, if your insurance company finds out you had an unlicensed driver using your car, they may require your friend to be listed as a named excluded from the policy or they will cancel it.

Why would you have allowed your friend to drive your car with a suspended license in the first place? No wise. Whether the insurance company pays out depends on the companies guidelines for this particular situation.

If your friend was backing, it was his fault. If you knew he didn't have a license to drive, and allowed him to drive your car, it's your fault.

Private property, what the maintenance guy said, etc. is beside the point.

If you knowingly allow a suspended/revoked driver to operate your vehicle you loose. Insurance companies look for ways to not pay on a claim. It is their bread and butter. Their lawyers know what they are doing. WHy did you allow it in the first place???

if your insurance company finds out you let friend drive--they not going to pay to have your car fixed--also parking lots are usually considered private property and each insurance company takes care of their own vehicle--leason learned

You have a tacky situation....first of all was your friend going to take your vehicle out on the road with a suspended license??? If so, you are stupid and do not deserve any sympathy.....
Dont feel sorry for people who are stupid like that....
Next dont say anything unless your insurance asks or the other guys insurance asks.....did your friend give out his license no. and ins. info to the maintenance guy??? You might have a major headache on your hands if you did. If not tell the other guys insurance it was you driving the vehicle......might be a little bit dishonest but you will save huge bucks!!!!

From the way the law reads, your friend will be at fault because he was backing out and when someone is doing this, the driver has to be in complete control of the situation at all times and if the drivers hits something, that's life.
