in the morning it was snowing today, i went to drop off my kid to school, when i come out of car, i fell down on my right elbow, because at that area it was ice under that snow.i got up and took my kid inside the school and even i was in pain and i told my kid's teacher that i fell down and its paining. i went to car , started it and i wasd going to office, i feel very pain, i went to doctor, told her everything, she sent me to x ray, and in xray it showed elbow has a fracture, doctor put plaster on my whole right arm and told me rest for 6-8 weeks. then afternoon, i went to school to pick my son and i met principal and wrote a accident report
WHAT TO DO i am writing this with my left hand.

You turn in the medical bills to your health insurance.
You were dropping your kid off on a snowy day. Ice is to be expected.
Lets look at it another way.....I'm dropping my kid off at your house on a snowy day because it's your turn to drive the carpool to school. As I get out of my car to escort my kid to your door....I fall on some ice. Do you think I should sue you?
Unless you can prove that the school was negligent....and that negligence caused you to fall....you don't have a case.
Just because you fall on someones property does not mean you get a big pay day.

I am an insurance adjuster who typically handles claim from the side of a business owner. The question as to whether you have a valid claim depends on whether the school should have cleaned/removed the ice and snow. Also if you could see the ice/snow then you have a duty to avoid walking across it. All that being said, there are a number of factors involved in these accidents.
