Someone paying me to store their car in my backyard?

The car is unregistered and uninsured. How can i make sure that if the car is stolen or damaged i am not liable? The person lives out of state. And would be paying me to have it parked in my yard.

You can't.

If you're taking money to store the car, you automatically create a bailment relationship. You WILL have a duty towards that person to do your best to safeguard the car.
