I let my friend drive my car while I was in it. He was going 5 over the speed limit and got a speeding ticket. If he doesn't pay the fine for it or go to court will they come after me or do something to my car?

No. In the US (assuming you are in the US) a ticket is issued to the driver. Not the car. You have nothing to worry about.
EDIT: In response to some of the answers below regarding red light camaras. In those case, the car owner is liable. But that is because the penalty is not in part of the criminal code, it is civil code. Basically, it is a BS loophole used for revenue generation. They can not issue points on your license as a result of red light camaras. (Note: Some states are trying) |

YES AND NO IF IT GOES TO WARRANT AND YOU GET PULLED OVER THEY WILL HASSLE YOU CAUSE THE PLATE # WILL POP UP ON THERE MDT (MOBIL DATA TERMINAL) BUT TRUE THE TICKET GOES TO THE DRIVER BUT I HAVE SEE A CAR GET IMPOUNDED, CAR WENT THRU A TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH THE CRAMMERS AND THE CAR RECEIVED THE TICKET DID NOT MATER WHO WAS DRIVING THE OWNER RECIVED THE TICKET NOT THE DRIVER, AND THIS PERSON DID NOT TELL HIS FREIND AND THE OWNER HAD MOVED AND DID NOT RECICE THE PHOTO TICKET IN THE MAIL, SO IN THIS CASE YES YOU CAN GET IT AS WELL, THE CAR IS JUST AS GUILTY NOW AS THE DRIVER , CALL THE POLICE OR THE COURTS AND YOU WILL SEE I AM RIGHT |

Is the car registered in your name? If the ticket is in his name, he'll get the fine and he'll get the warrant for his arrest if he doesn't pay it. |

The car is guilty only in cases of red light cameras, not if pulled over by a police officer.
I still don't see how giving the car the ticket with the cameras is legal, but apparently it is. |

I don't think they will. The speeding ticket is attached to a license not a car so, as long as he showed his license and not yours, I think yo should be fine. |

no. The driver is at fault, not the passenger, even if the passenger is the owner of the vehicle, and what state are you in? most states have laws stating in order to recieve a speeding ticket you must be going 20 over the speed limit not 5, you may want to check into that. |
