Landa can help you. I think for 7 days of coverage it will cost $40.00
When my friend comes to visit she gets a 7 day policy to drive my spare car. She lives and teaches in Costa Rica. They charge her $40.

For car insurance the best way to get a good rate is do a rate comparison on car policies. Make sure that you choose similar policies with the same limits, car model, zip code, etc so that all options are a good comparison.
What I usually recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have big name insurers and can give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.

Be careful - MOST States require a minimum length of coverage to be THIRTY days.
If you are RENTING a vehicle, the plan could be shorter or if you are entering Mexico from the USA, shorter term plans ARE available.

If you type in "temporary car insurance" to Google, it comes up with lots of companies I didn't realise did this!
Out of pure curiousity, why do you only need 7 days insurance? If you're going to use someone else's car, it may be cheaper to be added to their policy than to take out a new temporary policy. |
