I recently purchased a vehicle, I changed my mind on keeping the car and the title has my name in the back as purchaser, how can I fix this????

You need to have the title put in your name. States require this so that they can collect taxes and fees!!
When you have a title issued in your name, you can then sell the car! |

you can get a TITLE ONLY without registering the car. this is the only way to get a title if you wish to sell the car |

You can't. You will have to get the title changed into your name since you bought it, once you have clear title in your name you can use the title to sell it if you like. |

Too late to back out, just get the vehicle titled/registered in your name and put it up for sale. Hopefully, you'll get what you paid for it. |

tell the previous owner to order a duplicate title, void out the one you have. as long as no paperwork was submitted to title the vehicle in your name to a dealer or dmv office, youre in the clear. |

How long did it take you to change your mind? If you purchased the vehicle in good faith do you think that you can just give it back?
I obvoiusly don't know all the details about the transaction. Unless the seller agrees to take the car back you can't just fix this. If the seller has agreed to take back the car you have two options. You can take title to the car and pay tax, title and license fees and then sign the new title over to the seller. This would be expensive for both of you. The other option is for the seller to obtain a duplicate title. In either case you will have to work this out between yourselves. |
