Two insurance quotes, one car?

Is it possible for me and my brother to have two insurance quotes on the car, or do I have to go on his insurance? He is already insured on the car? Thanks :)

A quote is just an estimate of cost. You can get as many quotes as you'd like on one car, but you can only get one insurance policy. (The thing that you pay for.) |

You cannot insure a car you don't own. Only way to do this is to be added to the owners insurance. If you also own a vehicle that is insured, you can buy coverage for any car you drive. |

you can only have one insurance but he will need to let them now you are driveing as well and it may cost a bit more but not much unless you are over 25 |

A quote is just a price guess. So sure, anyone can get as many quotes as they want.
The NAMED INSURED on the policy should match the name on the title, and registration. So, who owns the car? If HE owns the car, then you can get added as a listed driver, but YOU can't insure someone else's car. |

Whoever owns the car should be the one to insure it. If the other person drives the car regularly and/or lives in the same household than they should be added on the policy. |

Yes you can do that. You can only have one person insure the car though. Every driver will have a different quote with the same car, from age, to marital status, to driving record, and sometimes credit. try different companies if you can too. |
