UK/Car insurance claim any experts to advise?

Coming home from work yesterday a car came out of a road junction (he as to give way) and smashed into the side of my car.

Will contact insurance today to give details.

My insurance is fully comp ncd protected.

I have the other drivers full details and time/date of events.

The other driver thought i way turning left/said my indicator way on
but in my defence i had no intention to turn left and am sure my indicator was not going at the time.

I have to pay the first £120 of my ins claim if it can be proved the other guy was in the wrong will i get my £120 back and my insurance unaffected.

One small problem we are going away next month and need the car repaired will i get it back in time.

You can forget the allegation about your indicator, even if it was true. As Scouse rightly says, any driver should be aware that a flashing indicator is just that, a flashing indicator, and one should wait to be positive that the car is in fact turning. That's one of the basic tenets of driving. Some drivers will try anything to try to escape some of the blame. Don't bother to mention it to your insurers

Just report what happened to your insurers and point out your plans to go away. With a protected ncd you are exactly as it says on the tin, protected.

30 years ago my instructor drummed into me one thing and that is if a car's indicator is flashing left or right it means only that the indicator is flashing. Basic driving skills mean that you wait for some other indication. Stick to your story and tell your insurance about your holiday plans

yes you should get back any monies you have to pay, as for the indicator on, i wouldn't mention it, just in case, most repairers now give you a courtesy car why yours is being repaired, so if not done in time don't panic, protected ncd means just that, it wont affect your insurance.

For auto insurance the quick way to get a low quote is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make sure that you pick similar options with the same limits, car type, location, etc so that all things are an accurate comparison.

What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have lots of insurers and can give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.

If the other driver states to his insurer that your indicator was on, its your word against theirs and will more than likely be settled on a split liability settlement ie 70% the drivers fault as he should have made sure you started to turn prior to the driver moving out. 30% yours as you cannot prove your version of events over theirs, unless you can provide an independent witness. Therefore you will only receive 70% of your excess back.
Although your NCD is protected this really is a big rip off as your insurance will go up anyway as you have had an accident.
