It won't affect your no-claims bonus as you haven't made a claim (unless a third party has done so).
What will increase is your base premium, and that depends on how the insurance company sees the offence.
One of our drivers had a DD conviction some years back and we saw an increase of nearly 300% on his commercial policy. |

Absolutely - there is no specific formula but you can guarantee it will increase by at least 100% if not a lot more. |

If you didn't make a claim then you should keep you no claims bonus (keep proof in a safe place as you won't need it for a year - 9 months if you go on a rehabilitation course).
As to premium loadings. Traditionally those insurers who would cover a DR10 conviction in isolation would charge 100% i.e. double. However if you are of mature age then an insurance broker will be able to find you a decent policy - probably with a higher excess.
On NO account omit details of the conviction when going through one of these naff aggregator websites. |
