Was hit from behind.....car insuranse?

Hi

I had an accident almost one month ago. It was slow traffic, I stopped and the car hit me from behind. The driver of the told she was hit from behind by somebody else who got away, and that's why she hit me. This is what police officer wrote in the report as well. I have several damages to my car, but the other car didn't have any damages, only license plate was bent. I've been dealing with insurance company of the car who hit me. It's taking too long. The last thing they told me is they are waiting to see pictures of the car who hit me car, and if they see that it was hit from behind, they won't be responsible for my damages. Is it really how it works? What can I do? Can I sue them?

My insurance company do not cover this issue because i don't have that type of coverage

Some really bad advice here.

If somebody hit the person behind you, it isn't the person behind you at fault, period.

The third car back that caused the accident is at fault and if you don't have anything but liability you will be out of luck.

If the vehicle that hit you was pushed into your car by another vehicle, and if they have damage on the back of their car to prove this, then yes their company will deny your claim.

Why, you may ask? Bc the vehicle that initially rear ended the one that hit you is the car that is liable for All the damages.

Unfortunately, if that vehicle left the scene and the other company denies the claim, you will have to pay to fix your car on your own.

You could try to sue the other driver/their company, but you will not win bc they did not cause the accident

IF the car behind you was hit first and pushed into you they are not legally negligent. The car that hit them would be.

Once the insurance company for the car behind you takes pictures of the rear end of the car ask them for copies of those pictures. If there is no damage then you are MIGHT get paid. If there is damage to the rear bumper then you will not get paid.

The lady that hit you HAS to pay as she is at fault. You need to contact your agent and have them contact her insurance company. They are trying to screw you over!

Well, its the person who hit you from behind fault, her insurance company needs to pay for your damages, make sure you take pics of the damages done to your car, and send it to there insurance company. As long as you got all of her/his information you should be ok. They should of have paid for your damages the week of the accident, and If they r taking tooo long and making accuses you may want to get a lawyer.

Your being fed a big load of crap.The person that hit you is responsible for the damage to your car. That person was too close to you and failed to control their vehicle. Yes you can sue but not the insurance company. You will sue the person that damaged your car. Their insurance company will have to defend them. As far as the pictures are concerned, They need to get off their butt and get them. That's what they have adjusters for. By the way, since you were hit from behind, doesn't your neck hurt? Are you sure you don't need the services of a medical doctor or chiropractor? Bodily injury is very expensive and can cost a great deal more than fixing your car. Just a thought.
