I'm interested to see what people pay for their cars and car insurance compared to me.
I'm a single 28 year old female living in a city. (RI)
I pay $282 for a new Jetta lease and insurance is $157 per month.
Just seeing if this is the average....
I'm also moving to NY suburbs and am considering changing my insurance, anyone know if I can do this if I own a home in RI still?
RI has month to month sales tax, but has higher insurace premiums and NY wants sales tax up front, but NY suburbs insurance costs half as much as what I pay now. I wonder if its worth it to switch states???

Well, I guess for a Brand New Car, I'm not doing bad at all. And I love my JETTA, can you say HEATED SEATS...

I wish I could make enough like some people though and buy a car and pay insurance up front. But with student loans at 30K its impossible.

I'm in Michigan and drive a 2001 Silverado 4X4. I pay $319 for the truck and $89 for insurance per month. |

as per my knowladge it is avrage.
but if you can spent few more money u can buy ur own car
$400 EMI and $200 Ins
but may be u need to nigosiate with car models |

I am also a 28 year old but male and i just bought a new 08 Nissan Murano payments right at 420 and insurance at 120 a month, but that includes my wife on the policy as well and she is 25, and between the two of us we have 3 DWI's and 6 speeding tickets...so the way i see it you have two options, you can go ahead and move to the different state and just leave you car registered in RI and not register it in NY until you have your finances in order, which is legal.....My insurance company is called Unitrin Direct, get a quote from them it should be significantly lower than what you paying now.... |
