What are my possible consequenses?

I got pulled over for expired tags and i had no proof of insurance and i am going to court in over a month... i want to know what i'm going to get after court.

I would get all those things fixed before going and show proof of insurance and proof you got your tags. they might drop the case then or give you a small fine.

Some states immediately impound an unregistered/uninsured vehicle until the owner gets the vehicle registered and insured. In the meantime the county charges the owner a daily impound fee that can really rack up and be an expensive lesson.

So, each state is different but if you can pay up before your court date you may just end up paying the court fees and the impound fees on top of your registration and insurance.

And your car wasn't towed? Amazing, count yourself lucky. You're going to get a fine. Of course the judge is going to ask if you have corrected the violations, so you had best be able to show him current registration, and a valid insurance card when you appear.

Since those are moving violations, you may see an increase in your insurance premiums when renewal time comes.

If they didn't take you to jail at that moment I'd say you were pretty lucky. If you have ins. at the time of your court date they will cut you some slack. If you have new tags and registration at the time of court they'll cut you even more slack hopefully. You might just have to pay court fees and and fines. I seriously think you wont get any jail time. And for god's sake, git your vehicle legal. They may not be so lieneint next time. All that info is at their fingertips. Lucky you didn't have an accident. Good-luck
