i just want to know what the cheapest cars are to insure as i am going to get my first car soon.

Insurance runs in groups from 1-20 the highre the group the more costily the insurance ..
Basically when you go to buy a car check the Group for example a Corsa can be as little as group 2 (1.0 Model) but if you get the Sportier ones they are Group 8 etc so look into this while window shopping for your first car ...
oh and the Group 1 cars can be sadly VERY dull cars but also the best cheap motoring ... here's a list for you of group 1 cars

The smaller engines are cheaper and cars that are economical to maintain like Toyotas etc. Green cars also come up slightly more expensive to insure. |

Normally best to go for British manufactured with low engine size (ie 1200cc or less) usually nowadays Corsa's or Fiesta's safe bet and parts and running costs cheaper. Also if low engine cc then should be in lowest tax bracket. Careful not to buy something too old as safety and security not as great in older manufactured models.
When looking for insurance go on to aggreator sites and then phone companies to haggle for more of discount as a lot of firms want big money busines and will take it on at discounted price as long as they still make bit of profit.
