What are the odds of me passing my driving test on my first go?

I'm doing my first driving test on Friday and i'm on my first provisional license. I've heard that the odds of someone passing on their first go is very slim.

I'm not expecting to pass tbh but I'd like to have some chance :) If you're on your first provisional license is it a given that you won't pass because I read that they expect people to be driving at least a year before they consider giving them a driving test.

Has anybody else experienced something like this?

The pass rate at my local driving test centre was 42% for first time test takers.
but i still passed 1st time!

i didn't expect to pass, but i did. i couldn't believe it!!

its like a 50/50 chance, you just cannot be nervous, i just took mine, i failed it twice and passed on my 3rd chance.
you have to exaggerate when your turning your head, when looking over your shoulder.
& remember S.M.O.G. signal, mirrors, over the shoulder, go!

you have a good chance. As embarrassing as it is the first time I failed because it was a closed track and I thought the test was over and I did a California roll through a parking lot stop sign. Had I not done that I would have passed, they told me I parallel parked better than most test takers. Just don't stress and pay very good attention.

I donâ€™t think it is hard to pass. I passed on my first try 6 years ago and I missed 7 points. Iâ€™m not sure what the limit on how many you can miss but Iâ€™m sure it is different for every state. The people that said they didnâ€™t pass probably just werenâ€™t that good of drivers. As long as youâ€™ve been practicing you should pass.

There are rules as to when you become eligable to take an exit test. Different states have different rules. Usually it's something like a year. But if you were not eligable then I doubt they would let you take the test. (that's the point of eligability right)

Your odds of passing will depend on how well your drive and not on how long you have had your provisional. They don't fail based on percentages or time. I passed all my tests first time.
