6 months after my birthday - - October 28th, so I'm allowed to get my permit now. I was just wondering what I need to do to get it. They said nothing about a test or anything on the DMV website, which surprised me.
All help appreciated.

ive had my permit for a while now i got it on obama's inauguration day so im not forgetting that my whole life jan 19 2009.
u have to be 15 and 6 months to get ur permit and u have to drive 45 hours and 15 of them have to be after dark in order to get ur license. i failed my permit the 1st time cuz i missed 6 questions and i could only miss 5 or i wouldnt pass but i got it the second time. so anyway in order for u to get ur permit u have to go down to the DMV with ur mom or dad and make sure u have your DOB with you like and ID after they ask your parent/guardian about some stuff all ur gonna have to do is sign ur name and wait for a number to be called the number is gonna be on a little ticket thing they give to u. all in all its really easy ur parents will know wat to do. heres a website where u can practice the test online. remember they will take a vison test for you and u have to get all the sign right or u failed everything but the sign are easy its the genral knowledge that kills you but if u study u gonna be fine and remember its gonna have 25 questions and u can only miss 5 i think for a 80% which is wat u need to pass.

You need to be 15 1/2, have one proof of Virginia residency, your Social Security card, certified birth certificate and have parental permission.
You need to take a vision test and a two-part (signs and laws) written test. You need to score a 100% on the signs portion of the test before being allowed to take the laws test. You need to score a 80% on the laws test. |
