I have the renewal bill for $190 it's dues on the 16th/Friday. I don't have that money now. I will have it on the 24th. I know that the charge a lot for late renewals. Should I just write a check and pay my bank $25 overdraft or should I just wait until I have money and pay DMV the late charge. I only have $100...my finances are bad this month cause I had to help my family and I they don't even have money to help me back. I know both these are stupid ideas. I odn't have friends to borrow money from. Thanks

In CA the late fee is 10% of registration for 1-10 days late
11 days late and it is 20%.
So $19 late fee from DMV or $25 overdraft.
Every state and country have their own rules
