What can happen to the bank who send repo guys to repo the vehicle and they had received notice of bankr?

Five days after they received notice of bankruptcy the bank sent the repo buys to take the vehicle. The office who responded to our call told us just to let them take the vehicle and if the bank is in the wrong we can file damages. What would happen then. Also does the repo guys get paid for this type of repo?

If the bank was on notice that you have a pending bankruptcy petition and they took your property they are in violation of the automatic stay issued when the petition was filed. This means that the bank is in violation of federal law, you can file an AP against them in bk court and could get damages and attorney fees from them.

apparently you defaulted on your loan by filing bankruptcy. yes, the repo boys get paid for repoing cars, trucks, motorcycles, rv's,tractors,motor homes, etc., etc.
