Well, im nearly 17 and i will be getting my license soon. I personally want a good strong car like a 1998 skyline. Vauxhall calibra? Whats the insurance difference between a skyline and a corsa/punto (MALE)

The micra is an excellent second hand buy because you know it has NEVER been thrashed. The reason is, that no young man would be seen dead driving one.
At your age, the insurance costs can exceed the value of the car- and probably will, on the vehicle you mention. |

What about a 2 seater Smart car? It is the cheapest to insure and to run. My 18 stone, 26 year old rugby playing son has one and he loves it. |

you wont be able to afford the insurance on a skyline or anything big trust me my mate got a quote the other day for a 1 litre polo and that was 2,000 quid so that's for only a small car

Hi you don't even want to mentionskyline or vauxhall calibra to the insurers at 17yrs as your premium will go out of the roof!!!!!!!!!
Try these makes and models , but remember your age, your licence provisional/or full, where you live etc all matter in your premium price.
Vauxhall corsa Okay cars, small and nippy, economical, cheap to insure and repair, same goes with like models such as clio, and micra, and ford KA.
The best insurer for insurer younger drivers 17+ who offer reasonable prices I would say is Quinn Direct, however do, do you research before insuring yourself to one particular company.

To be honest best bet is a simple Golf GTI.
parts are cheap, easy to tune, space for your mates or chicks, and a big enought boot space for that SUB n speakers.
