What do I do about my Car Title situation?

I just moved from Texas to New York and it is time to get my vehicle inspected by the State of NY. Well in order to get this inspection, I found out that I have to register my car in the state. The only problem is, the car title is in my parents name. What do we need to do in order for me to get my name on the title or get it to where I can register the vehicle without my parents being present (they are not going to fly up to NY from Texas just to register my car).

you will probably have to get the title in your name.
every state is different hit up the dmv to find out what you need i think its just a form you fill out... also check out ny state dmv web site shold have all the info you need on there for transferring a title
