Last year, I sold my car. Since I did not have a car, I stopped my insurance. Now, I am ready to buy a car again, via a dealership. Do I have to already have the insurance, or do I wait until I purchase the car to buy the insurance?

Since cars are insured (not people) you buy the car first, then the insurance for it. The dealer will help you and tell you how the process works |

you need to get the car first because you will need to give the VIN number and other details about it (make, model, color, etc) to the insurance company in order to design the right policy. |
