I got pulled over about 3 weeks ago for driving on expired registration. It wasn't my car and I was driving my buddy's home from the bar, but I still got the ticket. The cop wrote on the ticket somewhere Apr 9, but my puppy ate the ticket, so I don't have the copy anymore. Anyway, I missed court on the 9th, so now what?

No problem, the judge has already issued a bench warrant for your arrest..... stick around home they'll send someone out personally to drive you to another court appearance.
If I was you, I'd go to court on Monday and ask to see the judge. Because when they issue a warrant and pick you up, it will mean a visit to jail, the cost of bail, if your driving at the time the car will be impounded.. more $$$$$, plus court costs, plus penalties. If you show up on Monday it will be WAY less expensive. How do i know, been there done that! Be honest with the judge, explain your case and don't use the "puppy ate my ticket story" because every judge on the bench has heard this and will consider it a total lie. I once saw a judge in Los Angeles give someone a week in jail for using the "puppy ate my ticket story"! |

You will more than likely have a warrant for arrest tagged to your name and SSN. Id go down to the DMV and get on that as soon as possible. After that you will have to go to your local traffic court, which where you can just plea guilty to the ticket and pay a larger fine. Then the warrant will be removed. |

probably have a bench warrent out for you. probably need to go get it taken care of. mabey they will give you another court date. |
