What happens if i wrecked my car into a ditch, i dont have insurance and i still owe on the car?

You will have a wrecked car that you still have to pay for. and if the finance company finds out that their collateral is wrecked they may demand that you pay off the entire loan balance in full. You defaulted on one of the terms of your loan, that you carry insurance until the car is paid for. That's why you buy insurance. Whether you fix the car or not is your choice, but you will still have to pay for it.

Firstly you should not be driving without insurance, secondly you personally would be liable for all damages and yes you will still have to pay for the car.

(Stating as nicely as possible) You are most definitely responsible for the damage to the car and also for your payments on the car. No one damaged the car but you right? Therefore you are responsible on all counts. This will be a costly lesson in responsibility for you. If you choose to stop paying on the car (Say to save money for the needed repairs) You could end up fixing the car, get it back to being roadworthy and find that your lien holder has come and repossessed the car from you...AND when they do this, you are still responsible for the loan on the car!!! So unfortunately you are in a very bad situation... So for the time you had no insurance I hope you saved it because you are going to need it.

Yes you can get it fixed. But you will have to pay for it. You are probably in default with the finance company as it is required to have full coverage on a financed car.

All lenders require insurance for auto loans. If you do not have it and you wreck the car, you are still responsible to repay the loan. You don't have to fix the car but you still have to pay off the loan.

Both. You get it fixed on your dime AND you have to keep making the payments. You should also have to pay a fine for driving with no insurance. At least by running it into a ditch, you only screw yourself and not an innocent driver who happened to get caught in your way.

You will have no car and you will still have to make payments on it until the loan is paid off. Lenders will not allow you to "have no insurance" They will buy it for you and bill you (add it to what you owe them). It typically costs about 4 times the normal price when they buy it for you
