My father just got into a car accident today head on into 2 cars...
He is in the hosp. right now with a crushed leg all up and down, broken ribs, stitches 2 spots on face, and something with his neck. He was airlifted to the e.r.
He has surgery tomorrow. The truck is like completely totaled, the engine was all the way on the other side of theroad.
He doesn't have insurance and he was drinking what happens if he doesn't have insurance ?

Sorry, I hope he recovers fully and is ok. He is in a world of physical hurt but that will be nothing compared to the hurt he will feel in his wallet. He will be fined, he may go to jail, he may be paying for this accident for the rest of his life. Never drive without insurance, never drive drunk. Like ? |

He now owes the people who he crashed into the money to repair their cars, plus their medical costs, plus possible future lost earnings, plus whatever the fine for Impared is, plus lose his his license. |

Sorry to hear about your dad. hope he is alright. and i also hope the others in the wreck are okay also.
but yes.. he is going to owe for any damages, and depending on where your located could go to jail for driving with out insurance, and DUI or DWI, and DUI's are Aggrivated when you hit something while intoxicated so you get in more trouble...
driving drunk, and driving without insuance, are both big no no. |

that's really bad news, sorry to hear it.
His major medical (if he has it) should cover the medical costs. If not, he'll owe many thousands of dollars. He won't be able to afford follow-up care and therapy. His credit rating will be shot. Bankruptcy is a real possibility. Foreclosure.
Hope the other people he injured are alive, and insured, and not in too much pain. |

He is in a lot of trouble with summons, one for no insurance 500.00, no registration 100.00, damage to two other vehicles countless, drinking and driving jail time. Illegal plates 200.00, your dad will be facing 30-45 days in jail, and I am not kidding. |

Well if he wasn't in the hospital he'd probably be in jail. He is personally financially responsible for all the damage to the other vehicles and for any injuries he may have caused the occupants of the other cars. Drunk driving and no insurance. Dum dum dum dum. |

First worry about your dad and the rest will work it self out!! There is nothing you can do to change what has happened and just let things run it's course.. He might face some stuff down the road but right now worry about him and his health and not charges for its too late too worry about too much. Insurance carries a 1000.00 fine maximum and 1 year in jail but thats the maximum and it sounds like he is paying a pretty hefty price for his actions already |
