What insurance company is the best?

For who, with what driving and accident record, driving what vehicle for what purpose, with how many miles, under what intended use, in what state?

What age person, what gender, with what kind of a credit report, owning or renting a house?

One size does not fit all. It there was one "best for everyone" company, the rest would be out of business already.

It all depends on you credit rating. So you have to call a lot of companies to find the cheapest rates. Now you ask if they have DDC discount. Denfensive Driver's Course.

After you find one, you have to be on it for 6 months. Then ask the company what your rates will be and shop around the other companies again. You get a better rate if you have been with an insurance company for at least 6 months.

I started out with one company at $59 a month, Minimum Liability. After 6 months, I changed to Allstate with $47 a month, for the next 6 months, and now after one year, the rate is $33 a month. Can't beat that now. But you have to shop around though, every 6 months. Now if you get full coverage the trick question to ask is if you get in an accident do they provide a rental car. Reason is my car got stolen in 1990 and a guy with a rental shows up at my doorstep. I did not know I had this or was not expecting one, but then this was with Allstate. But everyone is different. So ask what discounts they provide too.

I would really recommend Geico for car insurance. I've had Geico for 2 years and I never knew how good their insurance company was until I got into an accident. I was in a car accident on 12/30/06. Geico was very helpful and processed my claim very quickly. They had my car towed to the car repair shop at their own expense. They paid 80% of my medical bills and basically paid off my car after it was considered a total loss. They did all of this with 2 weeks of my accident.

I would shop around and compare the different car insurance companies that would best suit you. GOOD LUCK!!!

They vary depending on ages of the drivers. For example, I had Progressive for ten years, never a claim nor a ticket. I was paying about $950/year full coverage for my S-10. My son turned 16 (no tickets either), bought him a used Buick Regal V-6 (liability only)...Progressive said my new rate would be $5,800/year!
I called them up...thought it was a mistake. Nope.
They lost a customer.

No such thing as "the best." Companiesare very competitive.
Don'tlet the name fool you. You may hear of a companywith a bland name like," American Motorists Insurance, " only to find it is a subsidiary of a co like State Farm Nationwide.
Ask your friends, or a dealer.

Allstate is the Best Stock Insurance Company, Allstate has a-lot of features in their Your Choice Auto (Y.C.A.) Insurance which have never been offered in the Insurance Industry. Y.C.A. offers accident forgiveness, which means the insurance company looks the other way if you get into an accident, not make your your price go up like most other companies; it also gives you $100.00 toward your deductible regardless of who'se at fault.and that $100.00 goes up by an additional $100.00 every year you drive claim free for up to 5 years. This Y.C.A. policy is offered in Illinois I don't know about other state but for me it's good to know that an insurance company finally gives something back to the consumer not just take their money.

Yeah, pretty much, cheapest rates. It depends on the person and their auto history. Some insurance companies are more leniant towards accidents and tickets, but might have a more expensive rate overall for ppl in general, while others might give safe drivers very low rates but give drivers with a bad history very high rates. It depends on your history.
