If it's parked it can still get pinched and you might need to replace it.

If its up your driveway then no but if its on public land/the street you will need it to be taxed and insured. Having a car on sorn only works if your able to put it onto private land.

if its kept on a public highway..yes you need it insured. should be insured for your own protection as well though..just incase somebody nicks it or crashes into it.

Yes, you still need insurance, even if you're not actually driving the car. Sorry.

But here's the good news: car insurance does NOT have to cost a arm and a leg. The reason why people pay more than they should is that they don't take a few minutes and simply ask more than one insurer about their rates. Getting more than one quote WILL save you money.

At the very least, if you get two quotes, you can either compare and take the cheaper one, or tell the other to match or beat it. Think about it. Not getting multiple quotes is just a bad move, and you're telling the insurance agents to rip you off. You compare when you go to the store, why not compare when you're spending hundreds, maybe thousands a year on car insurance?

Another thing: Get ONLINE car insurance quotes. They only take minutes to do, you don't have to talk to anyone online, and you'll get better rates because you're dealing directly with the company, not their insurance agents. You're practically guaranteed to save, because you won't be paying that agent fee.

You'll find more info on car insurance, and some places to get some pretty good online rates here:

Even if it is parked, it could still be stolen, or someone could still crash into it if parked on the road, so yes you do need insurance. It basically covers accidents and theft.

The main point of insurance is to cover the poor sods that you might crash into, so if your not driving it and not bothered about it getting stolen you prob dont need it

go NOW and do the insursnce, if u have not done it.

Getting quotes online is quick and easy and way better than sitting on the phone. If you shop around and compare quotes, you can save a TON of money. Getting the cheapest policy is not always the best either. when i got my first policy i was just so anxious that I just used whatever my parents had.Car insurance is a requirement for driving in the US. Compare the options and rates from several places.

Good luck.
