of a motor bike is it the log book , my son is about to buy a second hand motor bike and i am not sure what papers are needed to be handed over.

Yes, new fangled word for the log book. Word of caution just because the person has the log book doesn't mean they own the vehicle do some checks before parting with any money. We have been stung once like this. |

Yes, it is the equivelant of the old log book. Similar I believe as that of a cars documentation!! |

The legal documentation that need to be filled in upon transfer of the vehicle to the new owner is the V5C form it is an A4 sized booklet containing 4 pages.
You do not handover the V5C to the new owner only part of it. Read the form and do what it says.

its a bit of paper you should get from the dvla when the seller sends it to them on completion of the sale,the dvla will send you this with your details on it |
