All I have to say for people who have state minimum or just liability is...when you have an accident that is your fault, it only covers the other car. If the damage is more than your coverage, then you have to cover that out of your pocket.
I was hit by someone who had state minimum coverage and my husbands medical was more than her limit. I sued her and her insurance and won a settlement. I will never go with state minimum or liability only. I drive an old beeter, but have full coverage on it because you never know when you will need it. |

it depends on where you live and what you drive, prices can go up and down for different insurers depending on what promotions they do and if they are locked in a price war with a competitor. |

ok... seriously, there are a lot of cheap small operations in every town. They will satisfy your legal requirements for insurance, but don't expect to get anything back if your car is stolen or damaged. |
