What is the minimum possible number of driving lessons before you can go for a driving test?

Yes, as many others have said, there is no minimum number of lessons required in the UK.

However, remember that whoever is teaching you to drive (parent, brother, auntie etc...) will have had to have had their licence for over 3 years, and therefore - after so long, can they be 100% sure of what is required of you on your test?

What I would suggest you do, if you want to learn with on your own is, a few weeks before your test is booked for, arrange an assessment, or mock driving test with a local instructor, just to get an idea on where you're at, and if there are any areas in your driving that need improvement. That way, if there are any problems, you have a few weeks to rectify.

Don't do what someone did to me on thursday, and call me up at 1pm to ask if I can give them a few lessons and then take them to test the the next day at 12.30!!!! 23.5 hours notice isn't QUITE enough!

If you can already drive and know enough to pass the tests then you dont need any. depends how much you need to learn and how fast you can pick it up.

As others say, zero lessons if you can drive well enough. Remember you can apply for the test personally, not automatically thru the driving school.
Future plans will require your learning progress and competence to be signed off by a professional at several stages, so there will be some compulsory lessons

0, u can learn with someone i.e. a family member who is over 21 and been driving for 3 years so long as your under their insurance and have l plate displayed clearly on the front and back of the car. you can even do the test in their car but the examiners do scrutinise the vehical thouroughly

By law you don't need any in the UK, but I wouldn't like to be driving in your vicinity once you've got your licence!

you don't NEED to take any however the right number to take is when you feel you will be relaxed and in Control when it comes to your test.

Your driving instructor will not let you use his car if he feels you do not have a good chance of passing your driving test. The instructor can have his ADI license taken away for waisting your money and the test examiners time. Practise, practise and more practise. About twenty hours is the average to pass first time. Some do it in less some it takes a lot more.

You don't actually need driving lessons although they advice you to do so.
But if you are talking about how many hours of driving you need before you can go from your learners to your license well then that really depends on the country or state that you live in try to google the place and question that you are exactly looking for if that doesn't work try to go to the place where you get ur license from.
