Vehicles over 25 years old need no car tax.

The rest is based on the size of the engine.

Mine is 2000 c.c. and I pay Â£185 a year & my fathers is 1500 c.c. and he only pays Â£110 a year.

if its a 1500 or below its about Â£60-70 for 6 months and if its 1500 or above its about Â£90-100 for 6 months the new tax thing on emissions came in about 2001ish

If the first registration was before 1/3/01:

Not over 1549cc Â£120 pa or Â£66 for 6 months

Over 1549cc Â£185pa or Â£101.75 for 6 months

After that date, tax rates are based on emissions.
