car-insurance.22web.net - try this one. I personally have their car insurance, cause it is the cheapest for my family in our area.
As I know it provides such a service for learning licence holders. |

if your Friend is daft enough to let you drive his car, on his insurance, which may add another £5,000 per year as a named driver, is he going to pay it for you as well? That's what it would cost for Friend of mine. |

His insurance is unlikely to want to cover you. You are both presumably young and 'high risk'.Don't be tempted to drive without insurance cover. It isn't worth the risk! |

Your friend needs to add you as a "named driver" to his insurance. Don't be surprised if his insurance company either decline or charge a large extra amount. You cannot take out a policy of your own, it is not acceptable to have two policies running on the same vehicle. |

I am presuming yu are intending to drive in the UK? In which case you have only a "Provisional " licence. This entitles you to drive only when accompanied by another person who is fully qualified. In this instance your friend, the owner of the car you intend to drive, will have to be with you all the time you are driving it. |

I was insured on my boyfriend's car whilst learning to drive - he must be fully comprehensive and you must be insured fully comprehensive, both on his car.
You could take out your own insurance on his car or be insured on his car, through his insurance as a named driver.
If you do the latter, you risk damaging his no claims bonus should you have an accident. I would recommend taking out your own insurance.
Legal requirements - he must have had a license for three years and be over 21. You must always display learner plates on the car.
