They didnt make mustangs in 1960. Anyway unless your parents are going to pay for the car a classic mustang is a poor choice as a first car. They really aren't daily drivers anymore and the upkeep will be expensive.

Its not the color. Dont belive that. Dangerious cars, fast cars, expencive cars, those change the rating factor. If a car has a great crash rating, then that is helpful, if it has anti theft, that helps, if it doesnt cost 35,000 to replace, that too is a factor. its based on Bodily Injury, in no falt states its based on your own personal injury, PIP, and if its a 60,000 car, you can expect your comp and collsion to be higher.
The absolute major factors in rating is you, your drivers record, and your coverage limits, your credit, and your claims.

if you wanna stay away from paying way too much insurance...don't get the GT...despite the fact that you'll look cool in your new ride...insurance companies have this knack for jackin up the rates for sports cars like that.

Anything that could be classified as a racing car, thus increases the liability of the vehicle. If you're adamant about getting the Mustang GT...then the idea of you having an ideal insurance premium is lost at sea, bro.

The only way you're gonna get a good insurance premium rate is if you get a small compact car that all the other guys are gonna make fun of you for having. Could you live with that on your conscience?
