why doesn't none do something about all the drunk drivers so many Innocent ppl r losing there lives cause of drunk drivers and it needs to be put to a stop

well i did lose a friend about 4-5 years back, she was driving in her mustang and got hit by a drunk driver and it killed her, the thing is that some people can be responsible about alcohol or can control their drinking but other can't, only real way to stop drunk driving would be stop selling alcohol period but thats not going to happen, nothing people can really do other than the cops and if you see someone drunk trying to drive to try to stop them somehow and if you see someone that looks like they're driving drunk just call 911 on them and keep following them until a cop gets to them |

Actually, it's been proven that talking on the phone, texting, or messing with an ipod is 2-3 times as dangerous as drunk drivers.
So, we should address the bigger concern, first.
Get all these people off their phones, and stop causing all the accidents. |

Because no one can. What are we going to realistically do? Drinking and driving is a decision the driver makes, the government cannot change what people's actions are when it comes to drinking and driving. Even if they made the penalty something crazy like life in jail for drinking and driving, it will still happen. There are a lot more things worse that nobody can stop either, its an unfortunate part of life that we all have to deal with and just take extra precaution when we drive. innocent people lose their lives everyday because of stupid people, but there's nothing that can be done. |
