What should I do? Help! I got my car insurance in...?

Im a new driver.

I first got my car insruance in 1st of March and it cost me £1800 and I'm paying it monthly so i had to pay something like £400 for the first month and then around £150 after that for 10 months.

but I checked some insruance quotes today and I got a quote for £1200 for the same car (from same company), no information was changed.

What can I do about this?

I'm new to all this insurance thing.

I mean I am paying monthly, cant i just stop it.

What you are paying is a type of loan for the insurance which is actually already paid for. If you just stop paying they will immediately void the insurance, as it is a condition of the loan, but, you may well have more to pay as when you cancel, which you have to do formerly and return the certificate, the charge is not a simple matter of an equal sum per month.
You will find that you have to pay a disproportionately high sum so it may work out better to keep the policy you already have. cancelling in the last few months typically get s you nothing back at all.

The cost of your risk to an insurer changes with time and everytime you get insurance you may find that you can do this as you can with any other product - it is a free market in that they can charge what they like and you choose whether to buy or not.

You could try ringing them and simply asking and telling them what you have found - they might be sympathetic but there is nothing to force them to be

Entering into an insurance contract is just like entering into any other contract. Having made a deal with your insurer you are stuck with it until the expiry. You wouldn't like it if they put the price up during the year would you?

I would confront them with the quote and politely ask them if they will honor the new price. If not I would report them to the BBB. Something fishy is going on.
