i got 2 tickets... one was for not making a full stop. the other one was "failure to yield to pedestrians". (it has NOTHING to do with the Stop Sign, they are different but given at the same time by cop) ...further down the street after the stop sign i saw a lady running from the grass and across the street. i did see her so i slowed down. the cop said that i almost ran her over!!! wtf?! that's bull. would this even be worth fighting in court or should i just pay them off? bcz i don't want to waste my time in court if i'm going to lose.
BUT they are 2 points EACH on my license! can i pay the tickets and do a defense driving class and avoid the points?

You can only do traffic school for one of the tickets. I'd go for the stop sign violation. The second one you can fight in court. There's always a 50/50 chance the cop won't show up and the case gets dismissed. If you had a passenger or any other kind of witness that would help too. |

I once got a ticket reduced because when I mailed it in I wrote that the signs on the street were confusing. Maybe you could try something similar, though your case sounds more like your word against the cop's. |
