Well firstly you should not drive without insurance. Uninsured drivers cause more crashes, have un-roadworthy cars and kill more people on the roads.

You can try and offer her the cash, but in all honesty you should hold up your hands and go see a good solicitor to get you off with a 2 year ban, Â£1000 fine and any costs incurred to her and the courts.

Sorry I have not much sympathy but don't agree with it uninsured drivers. Forces my insurance to go up and I am a sensible driver with no accidents and 6 years no claims.

If this gets to the insurance you are likely to be reported to the police and you will be done for it
Find the money and pay for the damage right now and you might not have this escalate into what it coudl do. AND GET INSURANCE.

I dont want to be rude, but you should know that you shouldn't drive your car without an insurance. Well, idont know what i would do if i were in your position...Good Luck though

If you let her contact her insurance, then they will tell her to sue you, so settle up by cash before you are asked for thousands, and she claims that she has whiplash (trust me that is what insurance companies do as my uncle did the same when he was hit by an uninsured driver)

It doesn't matter what you WANT to do -- you will be required to pay for the damages. If the other party is dumb enough not to file on their insurance you can pay him/her direct. If insurance is involved THEY will sue you (and win) and you will have to pay them back. Trust me -- the insurance company will hound you straight into hell for as long as it takes, seizing all your property and wages if need be, until you pay the ENTIRE bill including court costs. Do not screw around with these people -- they can and will ruin you life if you don't do the right thing.
PS -- for God's sake, buy insurance! It's much cheaper than going through this hell!

So you can't afford the insurance but you can afford to pay here to repair her car? Surely it would have been more cost effective just to buy the insurance?
To be perfectly honest the only way you may get out of it is by offering to pay for all her damage, on her terms (& she will probably pick the most expensive garage - I know I would!). Even then she would be perfectly within her rights to go to the police & tell them that you were driving without insurance. She could also sue you for whiplash, insurance would have covered your legal costs & whatever she won, now you will have to do that as well!
You are deep in the poo & you probably deserve to be, good luck though...
