my boyfriend got into an accident with my car racing his cousin which messed up the front of the car like the hood and bumper. It looked pretty bad but it was still running fine and i didn't want my rates to go up so he decided to get it fixed out of pocket. I continued to drive the car but got into a minor accident in the SAME place (the front end) and made the damage much worse b/c now the radiator is leaking. I really want to file a claim now but i don't want to get into trouble trying to get my damage fixed when his damage was there first, It will seem like i want them to pay for both but there in the same area of the car. oh what to do????

you can claim both damages, and they will be able to tell, and they will apply two deductibles. If they can sepearate the damages and the overlap they will try thought.
PS. If your boyfirend is going racing with your car, i would find another boyfriend. Racing is a HUGE liability that you will be responsible for. Also most insurance companie will not cover damage as a result of racing. they do this to deter drag racing. |
