What type of disablity is accepted for 16 yr old to drive ?

You can only do this if you are in receipt of the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance, if you haven't already got it you will have to contact the Department of Social Security for an application form and they will send you to a medical assessment panel with an independent doctor.
If you pass the medical then its possible for you to apply for a provisional driving licence.

you have to already be on the higher mobility allowance before you are considered to qualify for the lower driving limit

So unless you are already regestered disabled then you are not likely to qualify at this time.
it is not just physical disabilities
such as personal mobility
as a person who is an amputee say of 1 arm or 1 leg is not imobile therefore will not qualify for the full mobility allowance
though wheelchair bound would. as would very severe life threatening asthma
so it you both arm amputee but can still walk a mile then sorry no joy
but you may have an acute condition which prevents you walking any distance and be fully mobile but you would still qualify

It doesn't matter the age of the driver... it depends solely on the disability. I don't know what the disabilities include but those with a physical or mental disability are usually not permitted to drive. I've seen drivers that are legally deaf in both ears drive(which should not be allowed because how can you hear anything?) I've also seen people with prosthetic limbs driving. It depends on the extent of the disability and varies state to state. I don't think you'll find a definite answer

Do you mean when some people are allowed to drive at 16 because their parent(s) are disabled and have no way to travel?

I've seen physically disabled people drive, their cars have just been adapted to their needs. As long as its nothing like severe colour blindness, heart problems, epilepsy, black outs etc. If you are in the United Kingdom then go to the DVLA website to see if there is anything on there, and maybe ask your doctor if he or she thinks of any impediment(reasons) as to why you cannot drive? They have a clearer picture of your abilities. Good luck!

I have a friend who has been deaf since birth that drives. he is one of the safest drivers I know. Ohio law says he has to have a minimum of 3 working mirrors on his vehichle. I have another friend who was born with no arms and he drives with an adapted vehichle, he's been driving 15 years without an accident. I also know of a young lady with Downs Syndrome who just passed her test 2 months ago, ACED it. It's all about getting medical clearance....
