If you get into an accident, you will have to pay all damages out of pocket. This includes medical expenses, pain and suffering, etc.
Contrary to some urban legends, you cannot get out of such payments by declaring bankruptcy. |

If you get a routine police stop, or if you get in an accident, several things will then happen.
There may be fines of thousands of dollars.
You will have your license to drive taken away from you for several years.
When you do go to get insurance, it will cost much more than it would have cost, because you have now proven yourself to be a disreputable person.
In some nations, your car is confiscated and sent to the wrecking yard, to avoid risk of you continuing to drive it without insurance.
If in the accident, there is any harm to other driver, passengers, vehicle, you are 100% responsible to make good on their injuries, medical expenses, replacement vehicle etc. They can sue you, and collect, astronomical sums of money. You won't be able to get a bank loan to pay for this because you have just proven you are not a responsible person. In fact, banks also need collarteral, but anything you own must be taken and auctioned to provide compensation for the other people in the accident.
So, some basic rules of thumb.
If you do not have auto insurance, then do not drive, period.
If you drink alcohol, then do not drive until it has had a chance to wash through your body.
Whatever form of transportation you going to use, get some kind of relevant insurance first.
Make sure your insurance is paid up & you have proof of insurance. Don't rely on someone else's word. |

HERE ARE A COUPLE OF EXAMPLES OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN......................
The usual penalties driving without insurance: $598 – consisting of a fine of $520 plus a victim surcharge of $78.
failing to produce an insurance document: a fine of $81 – consisting of a fine of $70 plus a victim surcharge of $11.
If you get an Appearance Notice or a Summons for driving without insurance, you must go to court on the date shown on the notice or summons.
If you’re found guilty, the penalty is the same: a fine ranging from $300 to $2,000 and possibly jail time up to six months.
Further, the court may prohibit you from driving for a certain time. If you don’t go to court, a warrant can be issued for your arrest. |

You will prove to the world that you not only cannot write a proper sentence, but you are asking to have all you posses taken away when you cause a wreck. |

In Texas, if you get pulled over, you'll get a ticket which will cost you $250 and you'll wind up in the 'high risk' insurance category. That means you have to keep insurance on file with the state through an SR22 form and pay through the nose for the insurance. If you have an accident you are automatically at fault. Also you might as well give your heart to GOD because the state of Texas will darn sure have your rear end in jail. |
