some people seem to think there is a way to avoid the really expensive insurance that young people have to have, do you know how?

Thanks for the warning Timbo, I think if the insurers really lowered the cost of insuring a young driver they might generate some loyalty and definately some word of mouth reccomendations

Hiya. I think the best way to get cheap insurance is to buy like a 1litre car for her and also check insurance prices at comparethe market.com and moneysupermarket.com. Hopefully that should lower the price for her. |

i would use a couple of the compare sites and see which gives u best result gocompare and compare the market r usually the best - but i would also search in google for some smaller companies just type in young persons car insurance i got a good deal with elephant :) |

There are a couple of things you could try, first get her to do a pass plus, second try for a time limited policy, these allow the new driver to drive during the day but not at night and offer a lower premium.
