When are points applied to your licencse?

I got a ticket a in 08-27-08 and took it to court i lost the case and now i still have to pay the ticket by 06-11-09 when would the points go on my license

They will go on your driving record the date you were convicted (lost the case), but may not actually show on a print out for several days or weeks. But the length of time needed for it to come off your record will be calculated from the date of conviction.

They should have been on your license within a few days of your losing the case.

If you got the ticket on August 27th, 2008 and were convicted already, then the points went on immediately after your conviction. The date of effect for these points will be the date of the ticket, not the date of conviction.

In NY, points can come off in 2 ways: 1) take the defensive driving course which will eliminate up to 4 points or 2) wait 18 months from the date that you got the ticket (in your case you'd have to wait until 2-27-2010).
