i'm currently 15 and wondering when i turn 16 what can i do in regards to driving , i live in england , i wanted to know can i get my provisional and do the theory also start lessons as soon as i'm 16 ?

You can apply for your provisional licence at the age of 16 (you can actually apply before your sixteenth birthday) and ride a 50cc moped (that does not exceed 30 mph - you must display L plates and cannot carry passengers or ride on motorways and you must take a CBT), however, the car entitlement does not become active until your seventeenth birthday so you will not be able to take your car theory test (or driving lessons) until then. |

No, you cant do the theory till your 17, nor can you drive on UK roads mate. Just hold on a bit longer.

No you cant, you can apply or a provisional licence 3 months before you are 17, and take the theory test on your 17th year birthday. Go to the DVLA homepage, it explains it all. |

once you have ya provisional, ya can do the theory, but i'd wait for a bit as the theory test pass only last 2 years, and ya may not pass ya driving test in that time, good luck though |

Hi,
I think you can only do driving lessons (including your theory) when you reach 17. Although as the others who have answered your question have pointed out, the age may be soon getting raised to 18. |
