When driving a company vechicle with expired registration, would the ticket go to me or the company?

I drive a company truck each morning and the registration has been expired for months. I need the truck to do my job...i've contacted my boss several times to renew the registration but nothing has happened. I am just wondering, if I did get pulled over, would the ticket go to me or the company? This is in Nevada. Thanks.

The ticket goes to the driver of the vehicle. I had a friend who drove a garbage truck, who eventually had to quit his job because he was constantly getting "overwieght" tickets in his name, because the company forced him to overload his truck. Unfortunatley, the driver of any company vehicle is responsible.

You would be ticketed. You are the driver.

I owned a trucking company in Calif. I would never have allowed any of my vehicles not to be registered , let alone asked any of my drivers to drive one.. They would have told me to drop dead and they would have been right..Why are you driving the vehicle ? You know the states law..Your boss needs a lesson in responsibility.. You would get the ticket my friend..You need to tell your boss no registration - no driving .. I would report him to the state then sue him if he fired me.. Good luck

Yes, you`d get the ticket. You are responsible for driving the vehicle and should have checked before you got in to drive.

you and you might lose your job for not reporting it to the company

No mate, you can claim that from company. Although you are the driver, its not your job to keep the registration up to date

you will get the citation, I would hoope the company pays it.

You would be ticketed and maybe accounted for but if you have this much issues with getting the registration I would escalate it to the DOT officer or his/her boss to get the documentation/renewal for registration.

ok it is the companys responsable toi make sre its payed you will get the ticket but if the company demands you drive it you can make them pay for it.

you, the company would probably pay for it but it will be on your d record

you would get the ticket because you were driving it when you shouldn't have, but play dumb when you get pulled over by the cops they will ask you if you knew it was expired and it's best to say no, and the fine will usually be paid by the company it is their truck after all.

I live in oregon and have been driving a company vehicle with expired tags. I have told my boss and was told to drive it anyway. If I get a ticket for the tags does it go against me or my companies record
